Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours?
We are open Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-10pm and closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Do you charge by the hour or by the piece?
All of our artists are independently contracted and make their own prices. Most charge a flat rate for smaller pieces, and hourly for anything "palm sized" or larger. You will need to consult with your artist for a price estimate.
All of our artists require a $40-$100 deposit and booked appointment before drawing anything, unless you are a "walk in"client.
Will you draw me up a design?
Yes! We can pierce anyone over the age of 5 years old. Some piercings are advised not to get until later though, so please call ahead to speak with our piercer! You will need to bring the birth certificate of the child, or something government issued that shows legal guardianship of the child. The guardian listed on the document must be present, and must also supply their government issued ID. A birth certificate, and the parents drivers license are ideal!
Can minors be pierced in your studio?
Each artist's page has their preferred method of booking of either website, email or phone. Please use the artist's specific contact info when trying to book an appointment.
If you are unsure of who to book with, browse their portfolios and pick who you feel best matches your artistic vision.
If you are on a time crunch, feel free to call the shop and see who can get you booked the soonest.
How do I book an apt?
Yes! Walk ins are first come, first serve during normal business hours. Feel free to call the shop before coming in to make sure there will be an available artist to help you.
Do you take walk ins?
All of our artist's price their work individually and at their own rates. These rates vary between $120-$170. Please keep in mind artist's work at different speeds, so a higher hourly rate doesn't necessarily mean you will spend more.
What are your hourly rates?
We recommend the day before your appointment to get plenty of rest. Drink lots of fluids and stay hydrated. Shower before your appointment and exfoliate well the area of the tattoo. Feel free to shave if you are extra hairy, but not if you anticipate razor bumps. Don't drink too much alcohol, and don't take any blood thinners the day of. Eat before you come in, a nice big (preferably healthy) meal. Bring water or gatorade with you, and maybe some snacks if it's a big tattoo. Wear comfortable clothing you wouldn't mind getting a little ink on, and maybe even bring a little pillow. If it's a long session, it wouldn't hurt to bring a book, tablet, headphones, etc. We want you to be as comfortable as possible!
What should I do to get ready for my tattoo?
What should I expect with a new/healing tattoo?
Your artist will go over aftercare with you at your appointment, and make sure you know what to expect over the coming weeks. We sell a wonderful line of aftercare called Vitalitree; an all natural tattoo salve and foaming soap, so you can leave the shop with aftercare-peace-of-mind!
Will I need to leave a deposit to book an appointment?
Yes! Each artist will require their own deposit to book an appointment. This goes towards their drawing and prep time, as well as saving your appointment date.
DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
They are included in your final price. Amount varies from artist and size of the tattoo.
If you cancel or reschedule within 72 hours of your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit and need to leave a new one to rebook. If there is enough heads up when needing to reschedule, your artist will gladly transfer the deposit to a new apt date.
